Gold price fell on Thursday and is set to record a fifth monthly fall on expectations of a higher interest rate, while the dollar also edged lower .

Gold futures for December delivery was trading at $1,209.5 per troy ounce, down by 0.16% at 12:32AM ET (04:32 GMT) on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange.
