Oil prices pulled down by global stock market plunge
Oil prices fell on Thursday as Asian shares plunged in the wake of Wall Street's biggest daily decline since 2011, while spreadbetters pointed to a subdued start for European markets.
Front-month Brent crude oil futures (LCOc1) were at $75.82 a barrel at 0656 GMT, down 35 cents, or 0.5 percent, from their last close.
U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures (CLc1) were at $66.44 a barrel, 38 cents, or 0.6 percent, below their last settlement.
