Venezuela has 20 tons of gold ready to ship. But where is it going?

Speculation about the stockpile began after politician Jose Guerra tweeted that a Russian Boeing 777 had landed in Caracas to spirit away gold from the country's central bank vaults.

Was it just another outlandish comment from a politician trying to draw attention to the plight of crisis-torn Venezuela?
