Oil costs move as U.S.- Iran strains mount

Oil costs ascended on Monday to broaden gains from a week ago, supported as pressures stay high among Iran and the United States after U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said "noteworthy" approvals would be declared on Tehran.

Brent fates were up 50 pennies, or 0.8%, at $65.70 a barrel by 0655 GMT.

West Texas Intermediate unrefined was up 70 pennies, or 1.2%, at $58.13 a barrel.

U.S. President Donald Trump said a week ago that he canceled a military strike to counter for Iran's bringing down of an unmanned U.S. automaton, and he said on Sunday that he was not looking for war with Iran.
