Oil Prices Rise After Attacks on Two Oil Tanker Ships
Oil costs ascended on Friday in Asia after two oil tanker ships off the shoreline of Iran were assaulted.
It wasn't clear who was in charge of the most recent hit. U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo blamed Iran for completing the assaults, calling the Islamic Republic "a risk to global harmony and steadiness". An Iranian authority was cited saying by BBC that Tehran had "nothing to do" with the assaults.
U.S. Crude Oil WTI Futures were up 0.4% to $52.47 by 12:40 AM ET (04:40 GMT). Global Brent Oil Futures increased 0.7% to $61.72.
